WHAT TO PRAY

There are so many things to pray for! 1 Peter 5:7 says, "Cast your cares upon him for he cares for you!"
Pray for:
  • For Pastor Tom and the JIBC team headed up to Greeneville, TN on October 28th, 2024 to deliver donated coats and venison!
  • For Charles Dillion and his wife as they serve meals to over 150 people a day in Greeneville, TN.
  • For Rett Iller and Cheryl Parrish, church members, as they serve with SC Baptist Disaster Relief.
  • That the love of Christ will be felt and received from the church.
  • For volunteers and first responders to find rest when able.
  • For those traveling to have safe passage.
  • For families with young children to receive diapers, formula, and needed items.
  • God to place on your heart how you can get involved and consider joining a relief team.

PURCHASE A PAINTING!

The Dogwood is the North Carolina state flower. Each spring, its beautiful blooms dot the landscape and signify new beginnings - a current metaphor for the hope and help that is urgently needed in wake of the recent disaster following Hurricane Helene.

Kat Cumberledge, a JIBC member and artist, has created a painted called "Blooms of Hope." All proceeds outside of printing and shipping costs will go directly towards those in need. Purchase the painting for only $35 and make a beautiful difference!

THANK YOU DEER HUNTERS! WE RECEIVED OVER 1600 POUNDS OF VENISON

With the generous donations of deer hunters in our church and in our surrounding communities, we collected over 1600 pounds of venison! Wow! Thank you!

Special thanks goes out to Cordrays processors in Ravenel, SC  on County Line Road. They processed all donated deer at no charge!

THANK YOU TO ALL HUNTERS WHO DONATED DEER!

YOU WARMED OUR HEARTS! OVER 300 COATS DONATED!

We put out the call to match Pastor Tom's goal to hit 100 coats to donate to those in need.  We didn't just hit that goal we tripled it!  We collected nearly 200 brand new coats and over 100 used coats. With winter setting in in the mountains, warm clothing is an essential!

We had all used coats dry cleaned by James Island Cleaners who donated their services. We are so grateful for them doing that for this great cause. All coats were sorted and bagged for protection.

Thank you to everyone who donated and helped us sort these coats!

THANK YOU!!!

HOW SWEET IT IS TO BE LOVED BY HIM! WE DELIVERED 237 POUND CAKES!

With your donations, we gathered and prepared 237 Pound Cakes and delivered them to Maggie Valley, NC and Hendersonville, NC!

Each Pound Cake was labeled with Romans 15:13:

"Now may the God of hope fill you will all joy and peace in believing so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

Thank you church family and friends!

JOIN SCBAPTIST DISASTER RELIEF

Unfortunately disasters are not a matter of if but when. The SC Baptist Disaster Relief team is an excellent way to train and become ready to respond. They have some immediate training opportunities coming up on October 11th and 12th in Spartanburg, SC. You can become a disaster relief team member or even train to be come a disaster relief chaplain.
JIBC has two active members of the SC Baptist Relief team: Cheryl Parrish and Rhett Iler. Please pray for them as they plan to support and serve in hurricane Helene mission work.

Consider how you can support or serve along side this incredible ministry!

WE FILLED UP A 26ft  U-HAUL!

With the generous donations of our church family and our community, we were able to partner with Eddie and Janie Wilkerson to send supplies to Western, NC! They successfully made their journey and transported the donated items directly to the distribution site. It is amazing what we can do when we come together!

THANK YOU!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
