James Island Baptist Church has an active ministry to the people of Romania working alongside Bethany Baptist Church in the small town of Campulung.  JIBC is driven by a desire to serve those in need, both physically and spiritually.  This is done in many ways:  providing food and supplies to the poor and to residents in facilities for the physically and/or mentally challenged; holding Backyard Bible Clubs for the children; actively engaging in small groups; and being available to support the church as needs arise in the community.  JIBC strives to make lasting impacts on the lives of individuals and the community while fostering a sense of hope and love and connecting them to the local church for continued spiritual growth.

This mission partnership between James Island Baptist Church and Bethany Baptist Church is spearheaded by Cheryl Parish.  In addition to giving financial and prayer support, there are occasional opportunities to travel to Romania for short-term mission trips.
