Going Full Circle
Becoming the Disciple Maker God Intended...
Begin - Share
Let’s get started! The scripture teaches us that we all start out as infants in this new birth as Christians. The goal is not to stay here. So if that is where you find yourself it is a natural part of our new life in Christ. Just by visiting this page you show your ready to move forward in your journey.(1 Peter 2:2-3)
We want to take you down a Discipleship path that will help you to grow Full Circle in your faith. At this stage we want to establish some foundational work, help you to develop Godly habits, encourage new values, and move you towards becoming connected. At any point in this stage we encourage you to take our Discovering Membership Session. It will help you to get to know our beliefs, structure, systems, and staff. It will help you to make the decision about joining the JIBC family and mark your transition into the Connect Stage.
Please know that we are always growing and revisiting the things we learn at each stage is important. One of the great things is one day you will be walking with someone through their first time in the Share stage and it will be a great reminder and growth opportunity for you as well.
At your own pace and your choosing do some exploring and begin your journey on this discipleship path. You do not have to complete every study below but we do encourage you to grow in God and each of these will help you to do this.

Foundations
In order to lay the foundation you need to have we want to share with you the end goal. You want to know who you will become in order to make sure you start things out right. Disciple Maker is a term we use at JIBC to describe the believer who has grown in maturity and is continually looking for someone to pour into, share their faith, help lead them to maturity, and mentor them to be a mature disciple maker. This is an exciting stage to be in your walk with God. You are fulfilling your PURPOSE!
Matthew 4:19 “And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Follow Me - Jesus is the leader of your life. He is the Head and you are learning from Him. (HEAD) John 12:26
I will make you - You are being changed by God developing new habits and lifestyle through Bible study, prayer, counsel of other believers and life experiences. (HEART) Romans 8:29
Fishers of men - We will share from the overflow of our heart to lead those who do not know Christ to embrace his love and forgiveness and eventually teach them to fish for men. (HANDS)
Luke 5:1-11
(Theology - Baptism, Lords Supper, etc.)

Share in New Truths
Jesus called and introduced his disciples to view the scriptures in a new way. They got to know Him and began to desire a new lifestyle just by spending time with Jesus. No one can do this for you. So begin to attend church more often. Consider joining a Connection Group. On your own time visit a great resource - Right Now Media. We would also like to give you a copy of the Purpose Driven Life - a great devotional book that will help you to begin your journey. We can also pair you with a mentor who can help you every step of the way to growing full circle.
2 CORINTHIANS 5:17

Evaluate
One of the greatest ways to understand where you are and what the next step is you should take is to evaluate!
How would you answer these questions?
1. “Follow me” — Am I someone who follows Jesus?
2. “And I will make you” — Is Jesus changing me?
3. “Fishers of men” — At what level is my commitment to the mission of Jesus?
Another way we have to do this is by joining a Connection Group. There you will find someone willing to walk the journey with you.
Together, you can keep each other moving the right direction. Through various resources and by using your personal Growth Finder evaluation you can know what you have learned, how you have changed, and what the next resource and step is to move full circle. This evaluation is available to you once you have connected to a group. Remember, groups are the vehicle to grow your walk Full Circle.
